Biking Chicago - August 23, 2008

It's already November and I just finally got around to posting photos of one of our biking sojourn's in Chicago. As much as we enjoy traveling, we are repeatedly surprised at how interesting we find Chicago, right in our own back yard. Looking at my photos reinforces for me the idea that almost anything can be interesting, if not downright fascinating, if you take time to look at it. On this trip we stumbled across Basic Wire & Cable Co., a large factory along the Chicago River. Being there on a weekend, the place looked abandoned, although I imagine it's brimming with activity during the week. The building and grounds provided lot's of interesting things to photograph.
